Walk On

£180.00

A man and dog handmade linocut print in bright bold colours, lines, textures and shapes.

A humorous artwork on the theme of departure and retiring from my art teaching career to become a fulltime artist. Can you spot the art historical references?

‘Every week at work we had a bonus ball lottery and I won. With the winnings I bought a rescue dog from St. Francis Animal Welfare, Fair Oak called Bruce. When I retired from teaching I made a series of linocut prints to celebrate moving on and as gifts for my colleagues. The artwork's colour and texture symbolise my mixed emotions about being on the threshold of leaving.’

Paper Size: 29.7 x 21.0cm

Image size 21.0 x 15.0cm

Each print is hand printed using the traditional method of burnishing with a baren and has subtle variations in colour, tone and marks.

These unique prints are numbered, titled and signed in pencil, protected with glassine tissue paper and sealed in a cellophane pocket with foam coreboard support. Carefull packed in a stiff cardboard box, insured and tracked.

The print is not supplied in a frame.
